EVENT DETAILS
Join us to raise awareness about beach safety! Gather your family, friends, neighbors, or colleagues to support this important cause. You can start a team, join an existing one, or walk individually.
Arunay Foundation is committed to reducing beach accidents and coastal drownings by raising awareness and educating people about sneaker waves, rip currents, and other hazardous beach conditions. We aim to equip our beaches with life-rings and inform our communities about unsafe weather conditions. To learn more about our mission and projects, click here.
Course: Both the 5K and 10K are scenic runs through the packed gravel trails circling Quarry Lakes Park. Please note that the course is not USATF-certified. The distance has been measured and is approximate. Bikes and skateboards are not allowed on the course. Walkers follow the same course as runners.
We cannot make a difference without your support and help. We hope that, together, we can raise awareness and make our beaches safer. All proceeds from this walkathon will be donated to improve beach safety.
Arunay Foundation is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (EIN: 87-3499812). All donations to the Arunay Foundation are tax-deductible.

Please plan to be there well before 9 am to avoid long lines for park entry and to allow enough time for registration.

RACE PACKET PICKUP
You must come to the Registration desk to pick up your race packet.
We highly encourage you to pick up the race packet at the registration desk at least 15 minutes before joining to avoid congestion and delay.

Your race packet will include:
Race Bib (with timing chip on 5K/10K bibs)
Safety pins for attaching the bib to your clothing
Arunay Foundation Informational items
Please present a copy of your order confirmation and an ID at the registration desk to pick up your bibs. You may also pick up bibs for another participant, but please make sure you present their order confirmation. You will be responsible for getting the bibs to the participant.
COURSE
Both the 5K and 10K area scenic runs are through the packed gravel trails circling Quarry Lakes Park. Please note that the course is not USATF-certified. The distance has been measured and is approximate.
Please ensure your bib number is displayed on your chest before arriving at the assembly area near the start line.
The start waves will take place from 9.30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with short gaps in between to allow the course ahead to clear, meaning walkers and runners have plenty of space along the course.
If you can not join an earlier start wave, you can always join a later one without issues.
10K runners will loop through the course twice to complete their run.
No bikes or skateboards are allowed on the course.
Walkers follow the same course as runners.
Please stay on the trails; taking shortcuts can be dangerous and cause erosion.
We encourage you to wear proper walking/running shoes and dress in layers.
Keep the park beautiful, and leave no trace except your footprints.
Dogs are not allowed on the trails.
There will be adequate garbage disposal facilities. Please dispose of water cups and other waste in these garbage bins.
